Heading North out of town on The Old Coulee road is a Blue Bird Trail, developed by the citizens in Almira. On this 20 mile stretch the bird watching is at it’s best. This trail is a loop off the tourist route called the Coulee Corridor.

Both Lake Roosevelt and Banks Lake are within 30 miles of Almira. There are a number of picnic and camping areas, and miles and miles of open water for boating and skiing. For more information on Banks lake can be found here.   For more information on Roosevelt look here.
